40+ new providers coming online!! Plus better routes to Asia, Eroup & US.

We now have lines running to South FL in NAP of the Americas. We are first working to get peering with reach for our over seas customers but will be working to get as many of the providers in the NAP on our peering list. This is just the first step in making our service as good as it can be. Our next stop will West Cost in LA, then to NY and DC. I will have James and I post here as we add peers in the NAP so you can see as we add them.

Hey Brad, any idea how quickly you'll get the west coast? Here in San Diego, loading times to you can be a bit dicey, and some clients just don't stick around when local providers are so much more speedy...

Hello,
The Aussies will get a direct connection from Reach.com (The backbone for Telstra).
From the nap Telstra's Aussie backbone is about 130Ms. We are about 7ms from the peering point so that would put us under 140ms from Telstra in Australia. From there it is up to Telstra. As this is all Sonet and backbone transport, there shouldnt be many speed fluctuations either.

Can't you bypass Telstra?

hehe Telstra got me routing to AU and back for NZ sites they de-peered from a major Exchange here earlier this year and it's flipping annoying. .. I'm sure they could route around telstra .. > /dev/null

Ok, for those of us slightly less educated in the ways of the Matrix, what exactly is this peering and why are all those network providers names posted?

Maybe I don't want my sites going over France Telecom.
