Our condolences to all those in Asia that were impacted by the quake and sunami's. We watched on television the incredible devastation. One commentator said he thought this was a once in a life time event.

I was pleased to see that the U.S. Government and many private agencies immediately responding. Several Dallas area radio stations were giving out the web sites where donations could be made.

The agency I trust the most for immediate help with water filtration etc. is

Another agency I trust will get the most of your donation to the people that need it is http://www.wvi.org/wvi/home.htm

I am sure that there are many other good agencies that will make the most of your donation, these are just 2 that I am familiar with.

After the 911 disaster I am careful about who I give money too. After 911 even the Red Cross took a big cut of the donations, and eventually their President had to resign under public pressure. And the U.S. mega non profit's "United Way" former President got caught with his hand in the till.
