Resell Unix and Windows
I was just looking at the plan options and I noticed it says "Resell Windows and Unix under One Reseller Account!" Has it always been like this or is this new? Sorry to sound like a total moron, but could I have all this time had my personal account (I mange the reselling for my company who uses Windows) on a Unix plan? If so, what do I lose by going to Unix, Cold Fusion support? Anything else?

Well if you are under a Hsphere Plan it has always been like that... well for at least a year now...
Each account is one of your actual accounts used up. I made a house account that I host all of my own domains one for windows and one for UNIX Right now CF is only on windows machines... Mark |

Thanks. I guess I was always under the incorrect assumption that you had to choose Windows or Unix for all your accounts. So if the reseller picked Windows, anyone they sold to had to use a Windows plan.
Does anyone know if it is possible to move an account from Windows to Unix without losing all mail and mail settings that are on the server? I don't mind the sites being down for a little bit, but I would hate to have to set all my mail back up again. |

No, you cannot move from win. to unix - supposedly, were someday supposed to be able to move sites from server to server (if it's the same platform), but I'm not holding my breath for that either.
Just keep good notes of your mail settings ![]() |

It wouldn't be too horribly bad to move them. All the offending email accounts are family and friends. If only I knew what their passwords are, they wouldn't even know the difference
Thanks for your replies. |

yeah, if you don't keep a log of passwords, it can be a pain.
Chock it up to experience - I made tons of mistakes when I first started using HSphere. |
