okay, hold on a second... by email I asked for more clarification on your timeline for those 4 servers, and got this reponse:

"We will start late saturday night and try to get them all done before sunday morning. Sometimes it can take longer and might go into early sunday afternoon."

If we're to expect the same kind of potential downtime as NT47, 2-3 hours, what do you expect us to tell our customers? Oh, your site may be down from Saturday midnight until, hopefully, Sunday morning, but perhaps into the afternoon, or even until midnight?

I would hope you can give definitive time slots for each of those 4 servers, as you gave for NT47/NT49. I know my customers won't be too pleased to hear they have a 24 hour window, and that they won't know when their site will go down.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Okay this is how it'll happen, NT47 is going to take the longest, it will start at Midnight this one could take up to 6 hours, we will be running nt49 at the same time. Next we will start NT26 and NT9 around 7 am, that will run until it's finished. After that (probably around noon) we will run 11 and 3. That's a very rough estimate but hopefully that can calm some fears.

To be more precise, we are starting at 12am EST with NT49. Once one server finishes we will start the next in this order:

nt49
nt26
nt11
nt3
nt9

We will not be starting a new server after 7am, so we may not get through them all.

and you guys wonder why we think you're disorganized... that's not a slight, more of an observation. The order of these servers, as well as how much downtime for each, is critical to me, and I'm sure most of the other active resellers here. Above is more than a typo, it's just flat out misleading and wrong.

Here's how I see it... we get a one sentence email - blasted to everyone, even those without sites on the particular server - saying there's going to be big downtime. Then another short email as an "oh yeah, we forgot to mention..."

Then followed by this "right hand doesn't know what the left is doing" kind of post on the forum.

Is it possible to get one answer as the first, and only, and right, answer? It used to happen.

Sorry to sound like such an a$$ but you're a legitimate business selling services to other legitimate businesses. Imagine if your uplink providers were giving you this kind of uninteligible information. I think you'd be pretty pissed.

The correct answer was the one given by David, he is the Windows Admin.

can you confirm if NT24 came down last night also... my monitor showed over an hour of downtime during the NT49 outtage, though it's possible that monitor was wrong.

I'm not seeing anything in the server reports about nt24. I can check the nagios logs, but I would need some sort of a time frame to go by.
