OK. The old drive decided to start working again, so everything is up now. We're going to move everything to the new drive. The server will need to be rebooted when done.

Wow! that is a "scary" drive.... Any idea when the move to the new drive will be performed and how long that might take?

Thanks!

It's being copied now, and it will take a few hours. When its done we'll switch it over to the new drive. The only downtime you should see is a reboot when we switch them.

Thanks Josh. Is "NT1" the same as "NT"? Or are they different servers?

Also, are any servers using live mirroring? That way when a drive dies, the other takes over without having to restore from backup, and data is automatically re-mirrored to a new drive when the dead one is replaced [edit: usually with hot-swapping too, keeping downtime to a minimum]. Do we have that sort of thing on any servers?

Thanks!

NT(0) and NT1 are different servers. We do not have live mirroring on any of our shared servers.

The duplication process ran into the night. I was attempting to wait until tonight to swap the drives, but NT1 thought otherwise. It is now on the new home drive, please report any problems using the support system.
