true, but some times are better than others. a query on the customer database would give an indication of the optimal time for this sort of activity and i'd bet that it's not monday. if vortech considers (1) the timezone most customers are in, (2) the business days that are common globally (m-t-w-th), and (3) that the end of the work week is most likely the best time for this, i'd imagine that late friday to early saturday are the best times for this stuff...

Yeah, it is a good point. Vortech would certainly be doing everyone a favour by scheduling this over a weekend.

Well running it live seems not to work out so good. So looks like we will be setting these up for weekends or try to find the slowest time that makes everyone happy. Not matter what it has to be done around 12:30am until it's done. I think weekend and our night time would be best for everyone. We have a lot of customers in the US and overseas.

It always screws me up - being in the UK it impacts directly on a the Monday morning start up, and no matter what I do (telephone hotline with server / outgage info etc...) clients never read it
