On Saturday 2/12/05 at 2am ET we will be performing maintenance on NT3, NT7, NT14, NT16 NT31. We will be running CheckDisk to clear up any errors and also running a system defrag from CD to fully optimize the system and registry.

We will do NT3 first as it's been having more issues than the others. If all goes well on NT3 we will start the other 4 systems immediately after NT3 is finished.

We will do the other 4 systems all at the same time.

Total down time will be anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on how bad the system might have gotten over the years.

This is something we will be doing to all system over the next 2 months to make sure they are all running a peak performance.

We already do. But you can't defrag the registry hives and such.

Update:

NT14 has completed its check disk and is 30% complete on the defrag. The rest of the servers are on stage 4 of 5 of the check disk. All are showing a good number of disk errors being corrected.

NT14 is done. The drive looks beautiful.

NT16 and NT31 have completed check disk and are down for defrag now.

NT3 and NT7 are still working on check disk. NT3 is at 57% while NT7 is at 82%.
