HOW LONG MORE IS IT GOING TO TAKE NT3? find a way to do things other way, you can keep people offline for half a day.

I have said this before people, if you have a business that is dependent on your hosting services where you can make $200 plus a day, you should NOT be relying on a shared server for $35 a month. Even if it were down for the month the most you would be able to recoup is the $35.

Sounds like your business should definitely be using dedicated server.

The blame should go to whoever told you to set up your successfull server dependent business on a $35 a month hosting account.

you should submit a trouble ticket, nobody I know here has been down this week except for these planned outages.

Thanks for the advice tracewebspace, a bit late for today loss.
The problem is when your hosting is telling you less than 6 hours downtime, which i may be willing to accept once in a few months, but in fact takes double than promised and probably more.
6 months of smooth riding with Vortech and just in one day, today, their credibility goes down the drain.

Point to an unused third-level domain such as: blank.yourdomain.com

This should bring up the server index page, but probably not if the server is still down.

Your Browser is probably caching a some pages, you can find out which machine your on on the FTP section of your Control Panel

Hello Everyone,
The local time is 2:31p
NT3 - 41%
NT16 - 99%
NT31 - 38%

I'll be checking NT16 in 30 minutes and hoping it will be ready to come back up. I'll post another update on all the machines as well since it only takes a few minutes.

If I understand this correctly, NT31 moved 5% in an hour. Which means, it could be a LONG time til its done Can you just stop it and start it back up tonight at 2:00am?

If not, how long do you think it will be? I'm guessing 12+ hours (at 5% per hour).

There is around 30 tickets for my downtime this week. SO now you know one!
