It's just like everything else of Microsoft's -- Scandisk "lite" (Norton "deluxe"), Disk Defrag "lite" (Diskkeeper "deluxe"), etc.

Yes very true, many of the MS O/S "tools" are lite versions of other well known product.

How often are the servers backed up? Updates on NT26 from last Wednesday are there, but not ones from Thursday.

Moving files over samba is slower than unix and SSH. It would have been done by now on SSH.

Might want to edit the user name out there.

dmark we are 100% done with the restore have been for some time, we have added custom user permission back up to v but all sites should be working, we are still working on the qouta, that should be done here as soon as user permissions finsh, just to be safe.

But sites should be working unless there is some other issue with your site, just send us a ticket we will be happy to look in to it.

Disable and enable

I remember this from the last time, but I had to disable ASPNET services (sites are .net) and then had to enable them again to make them work. Am I doing something wrong? Sites are working now btw.

No turn it off and back on works 90% of the time, we are no waiting on psoft to tell us how to add asp.net users back to the ones that should have it so we can remove it from the drive.
