I am curious..know this is a wee bit old, but how many of you have an acct. just for cc processing? I am a little wary of weird chargebacks. Obviously, considering chargebacks is a reality. I am always wary of who can charge to my business acct. However, I don't want lots of additional fees because I may only keep so much money in there. Anyone had good experiences with low cost or free bank accts? Prefer business acct.

I have always recommended 2checkout. I remember once they even cancelled a chargeback cost when I explained that it was a mistake made by the customer who immediately made the payment again. They do provide good support. I use paypal + 2checkout for all my payment processing.

It's easy to open an account and the charges are reasonable, no need of any monthly activity and no monthly charges. Their new system is great and support is also good.

I had some very bad experiences with 2checkoul. Maybe it was me but afterwards I did a Google search and found that I am not the only one who has been ripped of by this company. You are lucky guy newmem. Just take a look at this: http://www.reviewcentre.com/review128337.html. It could happen to anybody so be careful, that's all.

I do! I use PayPal, and though they've never stabbed me in the back there are lots of horror stories out there. They are linked to a bank account that is kept low, plus I use their debit card lots so money does not pile up as a big positive balance. (It's never hard to spend money, and that way there is less to transfer out.)

I am even considering Paypal now. However, I still think a sep bank acct. is a good idea. Like car insurance. I have done this before for bookkeeping reasons. I am interested in bank acct. recommendations tho. I hate to spend alot in additional fees just to have a controlled acct. However, trust is WAY important. Not a bad idea either I think to have a nother bank in play.

There are only 4 total reviews on that site and even all of them are not bad. There are bound to be negative reviews just about anything on the net. Just search for "windows sucks" on google, still, how many are still using M$ Windows?

I don't agree with the review on that site that says they do not reply to your mails, those who do not receive a reply should try changing their email address and try contacting them again. I have already received a reply and excellent support from 2checkout. If I ever do have a bad experience with them (been with them for very long and none to report yet), I will post it here.

Up to about 12-15 months ago 2checkout had some problems, but over the past year or so, there's been a significant imporovement. Almost every payment processor out there has gone though a period when they sucked. In the past year though, most have taken steps to address their individual problems and I think the state of the industry is much higher in terms of quality and functionality than it was a year ago.

I totally agree dpyers although there are quite a few payment processors that still suck, in the present day. Also, some them were left behind and others did major steps to satisfy their potential clients and this way their services quality has increased exponentially. I never said that 2co is a bad service, in fact, I think that paypal, 2co and ikobo are the best online payment services in the world, each and every one of them being a real catch for a specific share of the market. I just said that I had some problems with 2co, that's all. It seems that newmem had no problems with 2co whatsoever.

yep, no problems with 2checkout and they have just recently sent an email that they will be transferring all the vendors to their new 2CO v2 website. They have been testing their version 2 for a long time and everything seems to be bug free now. I had taken a longgg time before deciding whether I should go for paysystems or 2checkout, glad that I went with 2CO.
