Protx + merchant account (UK) anyway done it?

I am looking for a cc gateway in the Uk/europe, and protx seems to be the cheapest.

And i will probably go with Llyods Tsb for the merchant account.

Has anyone here done this yet?

How hard/easy is it to get a merchant account in the UK (for a startup), all the banks i called refused outright to tell me their prices.......... And Llyods, after some presuation gave such a huge range that really doesn't say anything.. I smell a cartel here :-)

should i just go with Worldpay(now owned by Natwest)? i know they are not the same thing, but i need Multi currency aswell at a minimal extra.
