06/20/2003 Postgres update.

We are requesting that hsphere upgrade posgresql tomorrow on postgresql and postgresql1. There will be an approximate downtime of one hour during the upgrade per server. I do not have an exact time for the upgrade.

The upgrade has been moved to Monday

My users are already quite nervous about recent problems with Email, and another prolonged downtime will not make thing better.

No, postgres is just a database, unles you have a customer using postgres SQL database nothing will be affected

Actually I just got this reply from psoft they have canceled the upgrade.


I'm so sorry for my wrong answer. I was told there is impossible to use
PG 7.3.x in users hosting. We have no scripts to manage this PG version.

oh nice, good thing so few people use pgsql in the first place.

We requested this upgrade and now we are in a trouble because we promised it to one of our customers...
Is there a chance that psoft develops the needed scripts and to have 7.3.x supported in a few weeks?
