Need help to get started

Hi,

I just signed up a couple of days ago.

Currently, I have created a Service domain together with a Service Plan for DomainA. However, I have not updated the OpenSRS's nameservers yet because I do not intend to use DomainA as my Service Domain. What I intend to do is to use the Service Plan to sign up for a new domain, DomainB (that will become my Service Domain).

After signing this DomainB, I will remove Service DomainA and its Service Plan and Create a New Service DomainB to point to my new domain name. Then I will update the domain registrar's nameservers to point to the nameservers at DomainB.

That is my plan.

However, for now, I had signed up for my Service Plan for DomainA and wanted to register a new domainB from there cuz its cheaper than if I were to apply for it myself outside Hsphere.

Can I do the above as planned ??

I used my Service Plan for DomainA to register for a new domainB but got an error message
"Response from registrar server: Unable to connect to server:rr-n1-tor.opensrs.net port:55000:-2003"

Can somebody answer my 2 questions above ?

Thanks !!

I'm not sure how to handle your overall situation, but as far as cheap domains go, you might also want to check out http://www.godaddy.com. They seem to have the best prices of all the major registrars. Best of luck!

I tried www.godaddy.com but it said it was unable to terminate the transaction at the last step, tried it a couple times over the past hour and it still cannot complete my transaction. Is it cuz I am from Asia ?

Anybody can help me answer my first 2 questions ?

hey, I too from Asia and have all my domains, more than 50, with godaddy.
Its easy to do signup and treanfer with them.

If you face a problem in registering or transfering, give them a call. They will do it.

They have helped me a couple of time over the phone.

I'm just being honest,, but your plan doesn't sound so good., Your just asking for trouble doing that unless you are an advanced H-SPhere user.

My advice would be to pick 1 service domain and stick with it. Follow this guide and you'll be fine.
