Quick question with dns

im not really sure which way i want to go about this.

I have a site which is for a call center. Now this site has two parts. The call center app which is online and the call centers website.

The app is going to be hosted on a secure dedicated box locally (for speed and reliability)

The email is going to be processed through the vortech servers (cause of virus and spam checking)

And the website to be honest doesnt matter where it goes.

which is the best way of doing the dns? set all the dns settings on the ded box and just point the mx to here, or do all the dns stuff here and point it to the ded box? or is it essentially the same?

I'd go for the DNS on vortech personally .. got a nice simple easy interface to manage it all then.
