Question Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

1. Why are round pizzas put in square boxes?

2. If a deaf person must appear in court is it still called a hearing?

3. Why does the sign read, “Enter at your own risk" who else could you risk other than yourself?

4. If it's called "frying pan" is it OK to boil something in it?

5. Why doesn't every doughnut have nuts in it?

these are probably dumb answers, but what the heck... I'm bored!

1. I've gotten a pizza in an octagonal box - I'd imagine a round box with sides would be tough to manufacture, plus it doesn't stack and assemble very easily. Oh, or maybe it's psychological - you think you're getting more when it's in a big square box

2. No, it would be called a sighting

3. ??? Stumped me!

4. Boil over could be an issue in a shallow pan

5. Do any?

because if a man is trapped in his car and he gets hungry, he'd be willing to eat the dumb thing to stay alive. That or because you could probably get as many miles out of a donut as you could one of these junky spares...

1. I've never actually seen a round box... is that an oxymoron? A box by definition is rectangular.(ie has four or more sides)
2. By the same token, if a tree falls on a deaf person, does it make a sound?
3. Depends how well armed you are.
4. Martha Stuart could probably answer this one better then I, she is after all in the frying pan.
5. My guess is that the "nut" part comes from Nuts and Bolts, where nuts are round with holes. Grasping for straws here...

(I like the jokes!)

Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

Why are they called buildings when they are already built?

I love these.

Obviously, our language was created by masters of marketing... Take Greenland for instance. (Maybe if we name it greenland, people won't notice its covered in ice!)

Or ... take teenagers' (or MTV for that matter) use of words... constantly changing the meanings "bad" = cool = hip = tha shiznt = fresh = sweet = gangsta = fo shizzo my nizzo, etc.

Why is T.V. called programming? Our brains are nothing but advanced computers right?

control the language, control the minds.

lol@the human experience.
