06/24/03 NT14 Re-install

We will be moving all user content from NT14 to a new
Dual Xeon server this afternoon. We had some issues with the
hard drive this morning and want to replace it with
all new hardware before it becomes a bigger issue.


There will be some downtime while we move the ip's
as well as user content.

i have put together a few boxes in my day and some go really quick and others--well they don't go so quick...

They just took the server to the data center to beging the process. It will be completed as soon as possible.

may help keep you aware. I just saw the server go offline. I am sure vixen or somebody will keep us informed here. Hey Vixen you mean the new server to data center, right?

Its down and they are working on it right now.

We have remade all sites on NT14 right now so every one is set back up.. The old NT14 is having some kind of fit about staying up to let us get the stuff off of it..

As the old NT14 is not a SCA drive system we can't move the drive in to the new systems as easy.. But we have come up with a way to hack it in there to get every thing off of the drive.. So NT14 will go back down for just a bit to get the stuff moved over..

Once that is done we set permissions and its back online..

We are going as fast as we can but since the old NT14 is wanting to die its making it a little harder..

But its getting there.


I also changed the page so it does not have the default H-Sphere page said something about the server was being worked on like you guys had asked the last time..

Any sites with there own IPs will not be up till we add the IPs back, we do that after we move the stuff over so there would be no temp page for them..
