I've noticed a dramatic increase in timeouts & unsuccessful connection attempts today.

My EMail client (Agent) reports the error received as "File busy try again later! +OK".

Last 3 attempts over the past 5 minutes to access via POP3 have been unsuccessful (12:45 PM EDST). HSphere control panel, AtMail & Horde/IMP webmail all extremely sluggish, but successful.

Thanks (and good luck) for the efforts to clear this!!

Email is working off and on for me and the company I work for. My personal domain's email is working much faster that my Bosses domain's email (Both on Vortech).

We can log in using the new webmail and it still is taking forever for the mail to get there. I try to send a message with webmail and get an "500 Internal Server Error" But that may be another story.
I compose a message through Outlook and send it to Vortech. It then takes between 10-60 minutes for it to arrive at ANOTHER vortech mailbox. I am sorry but that shouldn't take that long. Not nearly that long.

My Boss is getting a little pissed right now.
His domains are:
www.completesoft.com
www.completesoftwaresolutions.net
www.cameron-wolf.com
His email takes a long time to get. Even if you send an email from Hotmail.

My Domains is:
www.Leakyfawcett.com
I can send an email from hotmail and recieve it in 1-5 minutes which is ok. But the last time I sent one I still have not recieved it. I sent it about 20 minutes ago.

Nightmarish!

It is unbelieveable how many times my mail client is prompting for the password. It is all I can do but to sit here acknowledging these prompts.

The first time I launched the program at all today was at 11:30 AM. It took 17 minutes to do a complete send and receive with having to aknowledge all of the prompts. By the time it was done, it was time to start over.

I just sit here, click, click, click, click, and my mail proggy is set to send and receive every 20 minutes. I keep raising it so that I'm not part of the problem!

Soon it will be set to check every other day! I so look forward to weekends, it never happens on weekends.

My other accounts are fine and go right through like lightening, only Vortech based accounts give me grief. I sure hope they resolve this soon.

I have been going crazy the last half hour keeping up with new client signup because they are not receiving the confirmation emails with log on and server information.

Seems that this is not working. I did not get my usual 5 emails for each client either.

The techs are working on it as we speak. They can not address the problem and post here constantly. Sorry.

My clients keep having intermittent problems. They either keep having errors unable to connect to the mail server, or it keeps asking them for their username and password and won't let them log on.

Vixen, can you help us out and ask what's going on with the mail server right now, and post for us.

This mail server issue has been going on for weeks now, and it seems like all your efforts are only making it worse.

I know you're doing the best you can, but when clients start asking for refunds because of this mailserver mess, it gets me bummed about how long this has been going on for.

Well for starters there were 10,000 spam messages sent to the server earlier. That has caused an issue due to the fact that they had to be deleted. Also, they are installing some spam filtering software to try and aid in the ever growing spam problem that we seem to be experiencing as of late. They are working on the problem as quickly as possible as this is affecting our mail also.

Please refrain from opening duplicate threads regarding this matter, as we would like to keep everything in one.

Thanks, that's all I was looking for - gosh, this would be so much easier if we could just get an early response so that we can head off our own customer complaints, rather than having to find out the hard way (ie: having to make posts until we get a response)

Look at it from my perspective. I post about a situation, and you refer me to a post that has no explanation to that initial question. That doesn't make sense to me.

Now, for another question - hopefully it can be answered... any ETA? This too is a question I'm getting from customers, so better to get the real answer from the source.

I have no ETA at this time.

I understand your frustration but support tickets get answered alot quicker than posts here do. You should know that.

It has been posted here before that the staff will only answer support issues here IF they have time. The techs priorities are fixing the problem and answering support tickets/phone calls. They have had no time to make any posts, that is why you have not heard from them.

Making multiple threads regarding the same matter is not helpful.
