Unhappy Status of upgrade asdiscussed at the meeting

I called yesterday to inquire about this, and got "uh, did we have a meeting?"

There is currently one 4.1 server IIRC but have heard no word on upgrades to others.

No way you can guarantee you'll get a database on that server (I think it's the latest mysql server not sure which number that is .. 12 maybe?).

Created a new end user. Support informs this is the only MySql server to which new end users' databases are be assigned.

Works like a charm and so does my app (so far) :-)

We've added a mysql 4.1 server quite some time ago, and it is mySQL10.

Import/Export

I don't know if you can "switch" a database over. You may try creating a new mysql db. The new db should automatically be created on mysql10. You may then export the old db, making sure to check save as file, and import the resultant file into the new db.

Ooops...looks like you must create a new end user account (hsphere control panel)

the mysql version built into the php running on the webserver is only 3.23

it's fairly normal to see that actually and should not cause any issues, most places will have php client library 3.23 I think you'll find.
