CP problems READ!

Our CP server running FreeBSD 4.5 is having problems with java working with the CP and making problems in setting up new accounts.

We are moving the CP/DNS2 to a temp server. We will then reformat the current server and install RedHat 7.3.

This should not mess with mail or sites. Only thing that may go down here and there is the CP server. We will try our best to keep the down time as short as possible but this should fix some of the signup bugs in the control panel.

Is it possible to have information such as this e-mailed to our accounts to ensure that we are aware of it? We can them disseminate it to our clients etc… otherwise without reading this forum; we would have no idea of this type of remedial action.

est. time of completion

Do you guys have an estimated time of completion. I just started up my reseller plan. I can't establish my system plan, as it errors out upon sign-up. I need to get up and running fast....

Working on it.

We are working up some ideas for this. It takes us about 20 min to email every one from the CP so we are working on some other ways to do this very fast if needed.

Any good ideas or programs that could do this would be great we have some in mind but never know might be some thing better out there.

Yea

We are looking as soon as friday or as late as monday. We are going to push it hard as we can to get it done ASAP but we want to make sure its 100% better first..

New Signups.

All new signups have been put on hold. Once the CP server is all fixed we will be setting all of these up. Sorry about the wait.

contingency plans

I hope that in the future you guys have some sort of contingency plan that will keep things going while something like this happens. I'm a verteran web developer, so I know about being in the trenches of a service industry.

I've only recently began this reseller program, and mainly because I think H-Sphere is such great software. But I must admit that my confidence is more than a bit shaken recently. This sign up glitch, or it could be completely something else, has prevented me from creating my own service account/domain, which I desparately need up soon.

How can I have the confidence to sell this to my clients when I can't even get my own hosting setup successfully. I'm willing to give this a chance, but please someone assure me that this is definately not the norm. Thanks.

Have you put in a ticket about your problem?

The signup is working more then fine now. We have tested it with more then 100 accounts on the temp server the CP is on right now. Once the move back to the old server with the NEW OS there should be no more problems. This is the first time this has ever happend in 9 months where we had to move the CP around..

Gives a little time i am sure you will be more then happy..

Please send in a ticket with more info on your problem as well so we can see whats going on.

CP Server

As we said the CP server is going to go down one more time today for the move back to its servers. This is being done right now and should be done with in 20 min. This will only take down the CP nothing else.
