Ok, I'm going to eat some humble pie now and feel very loved and patted on the head by Matrix. I've been through three or four hosting companies in about as many months recently, and I'm just sooooo happy here when I actually stop to think about it! Tend to get defensive because of previous (very recent) bad experiences.

But really, everything here has been super. Fantastic, responsive support, and feeling like you actually care about all of us (even little people like me who are just starting!).

It sounds like Brad has already promised a fix that will make us all happy, so I won't "sound off".

I would like to point out that I host sites for small businesses that are not technically savvy. Photographers, video production, building contractors, and even an expert witness.

They don't use Outlook. Or Eudora. Or Outlook Express.

They use the @mail web interface - exclusively.

Deletion of mail after 30 days has been a huge problem. Especially since I apparently overlooked that point of information when I signed up, and began hosting several web sites.

Thanks for listening, Vortech.

Mark

But the mail servers will all be fixed up here soon so there will be no 30 day thing...

HDs like other components def fail more...just pushed more especially if you are using high rpm scsi. Warranties in general being pulled back is also not good. Do you guys run automatic defrags? So far Seagate seems to be ahead based on my experience. Recent WD and Maxtor seem to have higher fails. Other brands can be even worse. Altho it certainly varies, problem is you don't know all this until after there are alot of failures Which I am sure given your amount of servers you find out quickly. However, I do think more RAID may be in order, based on all the recent HD failures. I know it costs, but the man hours of labor and frustration have to be well worth it.

All five mail servers are running FreeBSD, whose filesystem keeps fragmentation at a fairly constant, negligible level, so defrags aren't an issue.

I think everything is perfect in Matrix except the filters on your outgoing mails. As I mentioned in another post, I replied to an interview request with all answers filled in, made a cc to my personal email account and it was tagged as 'spam'. There were 2 heavy triggers which made the score go above 6. Now I am afraid each time I reply to a long email, what if there are triggers in this?

Admin, please find a way to remove the filters from the outgoing mail, I know you are waiting for the hsphere update, but even if they don't allow SpamAssassin settings to the end users, please find an internal method of preventing this. Business users cannot afford getting their outgoing mails get tagged as spam by their own email service.....and SpamAssassin has too many common words as triggers including 'click here' etc.

But I am sure you guys will also solve this problem......if you have already started work on it then please ignore this reminder

Yeah, I'll ignore it...

Already did a lot of work on it today. Hopefully we'll have this within the next week or so.
