Your opinions?

On the lower left side of the end user sign up pages is some text that I don't see where it relates and see any value for the resellers customer. E.g., Skinnable Control Panel, E-commerce Support, etc.

This is a point of confusing for an end customer trying to navigate through the signup process. The end customer sales effort should be over by the time they are at this point. This stage is to get the customer signed up in the easiest fashion. Any confusion here is a negative.

We can customize the text underneath the above titles, but not the titles themselves. I see just another oversight in the PSoft design of the whole "Look and Feel" aspect of HSphere.

Vortech can remove this, but the removal will apply for all resellers.

To reiterate this is only the heading of the lower left area that I refer.

Question: Are others in agreement? Or, is there use that I am missing here?

Thanks,

I think he is referring to Look And Feel > Signup Texts. More specifically, the hard coded labels placed above the actual text by H-Sphere.

I've actually replaced all of that 'text' info with my GeoTrust SSL Smart Icon.

About the only thing you can do is just change the text. Just login to H-Sphere and replace it with something you might feel to be appropriate.

I don't think there is any way to change the labels themselves.

Correct DVHost. I have replaced that text as well. It is, as you stated, the "hard coded labels placed above the actual text" that is the problem.

However, Vortech can remove these hard code labels. It would be removed from everyone. So the question is does anyone else feel this particular text is beneficial.

I would suffer no great loss if they were to disappear altogether.

In fact, if the labels were to be removed, it would make the Signup Texts that much more functional!

Im in favor of remving the titles, but leaving in the space for us to put in text.

BUT as we all know, someone will complain so I doubt if it would get done unless vortech sends out an emil announcing it ahead of time.

I'd have no problem if they were removed accross the aboard personally. Soon I'll not be using their infernal signup screens anyway.

It is abominable but I gather, that move is API dependant. When is that going to happen cause I'll be all over that!

I'll either use the API, or just use the existing method for doing it by posting the info from a custom form, theres info in the HSphere manual on how to cusomise and create your own form. It's a little naff becuase you have to cater for possible errors but will work ok. Either that or I'll just drop instant signups and use my own form then create accounts by hand.

Yeah, I got rid of that too so that is why I didn't recognize the desc. By all means, get rid of it....can't see a purpose for that.

so is this how we submit Design Change Requests to Vortech? Are they reading this thread? Will they remove it?

I see no functional purpose of having that "Skinnable" text remain. In fact, I'm sure it is confusing to people, unless they could change the skin right there and then when they see it.

Vortech?
