Where's The Spam?

I haven't recieved a single spam in days! This is great. Am I the only one or is it getting better for others too?

I still get it, but I am on my own dedicated server haha. I guess I need to revamp the spam program.

No spam, LOL, that is more like a fairy tale. Spam will only get worse, never better. It is a big business, and for every person out there trying to stop it, there are 50 sending it to make a buck.

Yeah, I can't say I have ever been completely SPAM free. The only way to do that is to have no email, this works well for telephone solicitors also(no phone=no calls).

I take all precautions not posting my email address anywhere and using graphic image to display my address where I want to. That has always kept my incoming spam at a very low volume. Even then, if your address is in the address book of an infected machine, then you are gonna get 100k of virus-spam.

For that, I have set Outlook Express not to download emails over a certain size, say 99 KB. At end of the week, I login to the web-based interface and delete all the 100k+ emails manually after checking for false positives first.

Always keep an extra credit card processing account ready to take orders as a backup, just in case (speaking from experience). I use: 2checkout.com

It's easy to open an account and the charges are reasonable, no need of any monthly activity and no monthly charges. Their new system is great and support is also good.

Yeah, it started picking up again. Like the tide, it ebbs and flows.

Since, they don't even need to know your email address doesn't matter much. Usually, I only get spam on my webmaster acct. which I sacrifice to the world and it gets filtered so no big deal. I am just used to it after all these yrs.

I had no spam for about 2 or 3 days (at least that's how it seemed). Now it's back in full force. Nice while it lasted.

When did we start getting all these cialis spams that send you what appears to be chapters from a book - one chapter per spam. I haven't read any of them but I can imagine what they're about. Now if they'd send me a Playboy magazine I just might take a peek!
