Kind of depends on how you intend to use it.
I'm on the road a lot working from client sites and passing through airports. My IBM X40 is great at only 3 pounds. Don't do many presentations so the 12 inch screen is fine. Performance is good for office and developer apps. Can fit inside my carry on luggage without requiring i's own case. My wife's organization does a lot of training and presentations within driving distance. She has a Qosmio with a 17 inch large format screen that people on the other end of a conference table can see clearly. She does a lot of multi media and uses it to record and edit video. Great built in speakers. Her "mobile" package of pc, projector, and associated accessories comes in at just under 20 pounds. If she expects to have to project other peoples VCR tapes on site, the package goes up to around 30 pounds. A suitcase on wheels is used. I might get by with one of the pc's on your list, my wife might get by with the other. Neither of us would be happy to switch. Get the tool that best fits the use you have for it.

dpyers makes an excellent point. How well the case is put together (durable) are also important. If you are on the move the case can take a beating. The cheaper laptops may not be up to the challenge. Also that laptop only comes w a yr warranty with it. Dell, like most large retail producers goes thru a lot of defects and cuts corners to produce bargains in mass. The LCD's particularly can be a pain and costly to get and repair so be aware.
