Ibm

Anyone here knows if IBM has some kind of robot? I'm asking because I had a host IP visiting my site three times and used 1.32GB Bandwidth. The IP is 170.224.224.156 and it belongs to IBM, and worst part is it ignores Robot files and .htaccess

That seems like a massive amount of bandwidth for only 3 spider trips. Is it the type of content you have or were they really digging?

You know what was the worst part of it, I been away for Easter when I came back my service domain site was suspended,1.5 GB of traffic has been used this month out of 1 GB limit.
I upped it to 2GB, now I got an other warning, the other problem is Awstats is not working on my site vogtech fix it was OK for a day now is not working again and webalizer is not the best stats.

But is the only one I have for now here is a sample of the worst ones any one knows who is "proxyche04.or4.marketscore.com"

I Google it and this guy is spamming every Guestbook, forum and Blog in the world do you know how can I stop him and who is "tech03.vortechexchange.com"!!!!!

I started thinking about your original post last night and couldn't sleep worrying about it. How much over the limit can an account go before it's suspended? I really can't afford a huge bill for overage.

OK now you got all this wrong I got suspended by my own hosting not Vortech I set the traffic limit to 1GB and this bot was digging for some reason
and used about 2GB plus all my other traffic.

Don’t forget if you have forum or blog the domain name spammers will love you this how they get new domain names to rank by placing links in your forum or blog.
Well I have my site set up so only register users can post I had this drag site "proxyche04.or4.marketscore.com" banned from my site but his bot is still trying

So if I set it under the plan it will apply to all accounts set up with that plan?

Yes it will apply to all accounts set up within that plan, you set your traffic limit to X GB and your Disk space to X BM and set all your resources properly
Also what Peter is referring to is go to your reseller CP Settings,User Warnings and set your limits to what ever you want to or use the pre set ones, I hope this helps you.

Another related question. How can I prevent mirroring software lik HTTrack from downloading my sites, especially database sites? I noticed that the software spiders it's way into databases and generates an html page for each record in the database table(s). If you have a business directory ect. with 1000's of entries it could really eat up your bandwidth. I mostly use unix/mysql.
