CPANEL to H-SPHERE

Good Evening All:

Whelp, finally received the e-mail from Craig that said they are officially going to stop selling CPANEL accounts come April 1, 2005.

Now, while this does not affect me due to the fact that I currently have a CPANEL account, I am truly sad as I and my customers like this interface. I was not a fan of H-SPHERE, thought setting up the accounts was a little time consuming and, last I checked, Client Exec did not have a plug-in to auto create the accounts, and that is a great feature.

Anyway, I was reading the e-mail on moving and that Vortech recommend we move to the H-SPHERE accounts. My issue is moving my accounts, since the backup will not work.

I will have to co-ordinate moves, some how transfer e-mail and so forth. It seems as if it is going to be a real pain in the behind.

Also, what I am wondering is this, I have my domain as it is today, and would rather leave this domain in tact, I suppose it is just like any other move, and I can build the sites and so forth, and then when I am ready, can move the sites all at once by updating my DNS. Is this a good assessment?

I must say my biggest concern is e-mail. I have a few accounts with Mailing Lists that will have to be recreated if they cannot be transferred, and I do have all my clients info...can anyone tell me an easy way to get all that done?

I guess that is the best way to do the transfer. Emails are going to be an issue. I we could maintain the same login details it would be fine, but if that changes, its really gonna be a big pain in the back

If vortech could help us do the tranfer of files would be very beneficial. and then we just have to change the Name servers.

Man! this is hard. Cpanel is going down very frequently ..and its like a time bomb thats gonna blow off any moment. If guess we should transfer the domains ASAP.

Im gonna miss Cpanel....I still think it is much much better than Hspere.
