I've been running it since RTM at home with no issues at all, I have the whole security center off its quite annoying....I do like the popup blocker in IE...

I faced lot of XP SP2 probems with my development PC and finally Uninstalled it, because, I just needed a working PC.
Major problem for me was that Visual Studio and InterDEV didn't work with LocalHost or sites running with IIS on 127.0.0.1. I think SP2 denies acccess to 127.0.0.1 for some reason.

No problems here - have the security center turned off, and Updated .net to the new service pack.
This may help - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=883607 EDIT - other useful link - http://support.microsoft.com/default...h;ln;xpsp2swhw

Thanks for teh reply. These suggestions works only if you try to access the local website from another computer. My situation was, I was using IIS on the same development PC I am using to develop the sites. I map the local loopback address (127.0.0.1) to a hostname, since I my Dev PC not on a network. This settings is NOT working with XP SP2. If anybody succeeded using this method, please let me know. Thanks

Been using for awhile. No problems that I can see so far. I also don't use the security center junk.

come on guys! Did you try to open an ASP page hosted on the localhost (127.0.0.1)? Also, did you succeed using InterDEV to access and EDIT these sites at localhost (127.0.0.1) ??

No problems editing localhost sites with Visual Studio. No problems with either asp or asp.net. Don't have InterDev installed any more.
