I tend to go more bang for the buck, and to me that's going with a new cypher plan, but there are likely some resellers that will disuade you from that because managing 2 cp's also means 2 service domains, along with some other headaches I'm sure.

It could go ether way really, on one hand you can save a few bucks and go with the cypher plan, but then you have to manage to account. That kind of sucks.

On the other hand you could upgrade keep everything in one CP and makes life a lot easier.

Its a hard one there.. LoL

enter-sys, you might also want to look at our VPS option when it comes out as well if you do more unix hosting then windows. We will be talking about being able to add VPS with in our cluster in our next meeting on 8/11/04 so we might be able to do something to help even more then.

Windows VPS is also in the works so thats also another option.

VPS is Virtual Private Server .. its where a single server is partitioned off into multiple "virtual" servers.

I have alot fewer sites, but, my own advice is keep one account if you can. I have managed 2 cypher accounts and I am about to consolidate them. It is a lot of trouble for me to manage both of them.

oh god, why would you want to go through all the problems of setting up a new account... the cost can't outweigh the time you will take to do all the work all over again, and then resolve problems in the future while having to figure out who is using what nameservers on which site, etc., etc., without looking at a giant spreadsheet.

IMHO, upgrade is the way to go.

I'd have to disagree there, multiple accounts really isnt that much of a hassle. Move several accounts over from your old to new and HSphere will recreate the plans for you. Now that you can customise the signup emails tell everyone to use the same nameservers as in your main plan, a few wont read the email but most will.

Would like to look into this further.....

for starters.

If you purchase 2 accounts, what do you do for a second service domain and the associated nameservers? - ie you cant assign nameservers on your own, so I dont understand how you can tell a client to use other nameservers.

Hsphere will let us use any nameservers?

You know, I think there could be a use for a chat room here, I will post this idea in a searate post.

If I have one account with a service domain of examplea.com and a second one with exampleb.com as the service domain, theres nothing stopping you from using the correct examplea.com nameservers for those domains on the second account. I'm probably soon going to just split my accounts up so that each one is basically a different currency so I'll use one for US$ accounts, one for NZ$ accounts etc
