The network upgrade has already been announced for tonight (last week), so expect some downtime. They were switching everything over to the Juniper so the entire network would not be down for an hour or more while Barney is installed.

I understand that but the 5th starts in 20 minutes. The move to the Juniper was done to benefit you guys instead of causing you to be down for at least an hour or more.

only reason I said anything was because I had a customer here and we were trying to get a some things finished before the deadline.

I know the time difference is minimal, but it did matter to us.

Good luck on the changes, I hope everything goes smoothly.

I have say I agree with Brangwyn and other resellers on this. I too had a client here and we were trying to get through some last minute changes prior to the 'scheduled downtime'. It really doesn't help us or you look very professional.

Ditto, on the 'best interests at heart' appreciation, but come on guys, this stuff is within your control... it's not like Moses parted the water down the road and you guys got 'unexpectedly' flooded or something.

Anyway, keep up the good work with the upgrades.

The downtime happend because we had to get the switch in the rack, it should of only taken less then 5min but due to config issue it did take a few min longer. Sorry about the downtime.

Good news is that should be all of the downtime with this switch if we get the new lines working there should be less then 1min to 5 min down to make ths switch now.

As for the status that use to run IPMon the HD died on use last night, not sure why. I am not sure we will be putting IPmon back on the system as we were going to get rid of it anyway. Lot of work for something we are getting rid of anyway..

Again sorry for the downtime I did not plan for it to go down that long for the switch over.

I know I don't get a vote, but I think this is a bad, bad idea. Getting rid of the server monitor really stinks. This monitor is a great feature for my customers and for me to see if there is a server issue before writting a ticket or doing more work.

If you need a few more bucks to keep this service up and going, I'd be happy to give to the cause.

Please reconsider.

Chris

Plus the new does a lot more for us. We can also work with there devlepers a lot more. We are also working on XML for that as well. I know matt emailed them about. IPMon was ok but they would not do anything for it plus it limited us a LOT on our side and took 10 times longer just to add a server..
