03/25/2004: cp.hsphere.cc

In order to resolve the issues, we have decided to go ahead and upgrade our CP to RH Enterprise 3.0 AS. We will be running it on one of our newest dual 2.4Ghz Xeon boxes with 320SCSI. The system will be setup in a manner designed for the best performance possible as its current configuration is not up to par. We should have the new machine ready to go later this evening and we'll switchover.

It explains the fix for the slowness. Psoft keeps telling us its fine... I dont think they know how to click login.

I just wasn't sure... a little bit ago it was surprisingly fast.. needless to say its not now.

This is what I get now.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, root@hsphere.cc and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.


Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Good luck guys. Hope you get this all worked out. I've read some not-so-good things about RH Enterprise lately but I'm sure you guys go work out the kinks.

Getting this same error on my main reseller CP as of today. However the last part is a little different:

OK.. CP is back up... A couple things are gonna be broken while we fix some stuff... namely anything that requires connecting to a Unix box till we get the new SSH key sent through

Im Getting a Security Alert telling me that the certificate for www.snakeoil.dom has expired ???

Yep, I've installed OUR CP SSL Certificate I've also finished resetting SSH keys and moving over the certs for merchant gateways.

Things seem to operating OK so far, a couple of kinks that reboots resolved, but I'm keeping a close eye on the CP. Please send a TT to us for any issues. Matt has endured a grueling schedule over the past two days and will be snoozing for awhile this morning......he couldn't even put together a full sentence when he left at 2am this morning.....poor fella

Okay - I am new to this hosting company - but I am having a difficult time getting anything to work. I have timed out on most every task I have attempted. How long has this problem been going on? Is it common? What is the ETA on resolution? I cannot afford to have a hosting environment that is this slow or this flakey. Is this problem effecting hosted accounts as well as the admin accounts? (I.E> are sites being hosted here running this slow as well?)

Throw me a bone - I am having second thoughts on using this to host my sites.
