What OS do you use?

I am trying to get a feel for the people who browse this forums.

What operating system do you use?
Tell us what you use and why you use it. Thanks

Josh

Thats the fun part - Its easy if you follow the guide. It kinda serves as a great introduction to Unix. Lets you partition the drives and all.. There are 3 levles of install you can do. I like Stage1 build it all up from scratch.

Os

I use Win 2K for the bulk of my work, but have Linux (RedHat) loaded on my PC as well. My laptop is a Mac Powerbook with Os X (Jaguar).
I'm prepared for anything...

Desktop: Windows XP Pro
Dell PowerEdge: Gentoo
IBM ThinkPad: Windows XP Pro
TiVo: Linux
Compaq: Windows XP Pro

Sill in NY:

Old Sparc Station: Solaris 6
IBM RS/6000: AIX 4.1

and my parents computers which are technically mine too, I had an iMac too but sold that on eBay, still trying to get Brad to get me one for the office.

oh yeah, does Knoppix count ? If anyones a little scared of Linux but would like to try it out, make sure you give knoppix a crack, its a CD bootable linux distro so you don't need to worry about paritioning windows boxes or anything just to try linux.

Win2K Pro and Debian for the most part. My favorite OS of all time was BeOS and yes I cried when they stopped development. Is this too sad to post? Eh whatever.
