New reseller question
Hey guys.
First of all, I just signed up to be a reseller the other day so I just wanted to say hello. I've been running a web development business since I finished school about a year and a half ago but this is my first experience reselling web hosting. Anyway, my question pertains to accepting credit card payments from my clients. I took a tour of H-Sphere via the tutorials but I'm a little concerned about 1 issue. I may just be understanding this incorrectly but I decided to check with you guys to make sure. I was playing around with setting up a new account in H-Sphere and noticed how easy it was to create a fake name and use a false or stolen credit card #. So my idea was, to ensure that the credit cards are not stolen, that I could have my website set up as follows: 1.Have a customer come to my site. 2.When ready to purchase a new account, rather than proceeding to the H-Sphere credit card payment area they proceed to a shopping card with a "paypal" checkout. 3.Once the credit card is verified, the user can then proceed to H-Sphere to set up their account. Am I able to set up H-Sphere this way? Thanks guys. -Goalie35 |

Paypal is one of the options for payment in H-Sphere. you have to have a business account to accept the payments and the rest is auto.

The problem you are going to run into is not everyone is Pay Pal verified and some may not want to sign up for a Pay Pal account to simply be able to use your service.
Have you thought about acutally calling all of your orders, as they come in, to verify them?? That is what we do. |

Set up your credit card sign ups to be moderated, then you can review them first, check their address, etc..

That confirming phone call I got from accounting made me feel much more comfortable signing up with y'all. It is a great practice that protects you while wildly improving your customer relations. |
