I am fed up or what?

Being a Command & Conquer 'Generals' fan, I got the new expansion pack today -> 'Zero Hours'.

Sat having my dinner like a good little boy impatiently reading the manual drooling over all the new gizmos (yeh .... I know, I don't get out much ) and the damn thing won't run

keep getting a 'techinical error' *Sob Sob.........

(do you think it's a con.... and they know I was going to kick their ass?)

Ah well....... have to think of some other way to pass my time -> now wheres my copy of Red Alert

My copy just arrived by courier not 4 minutes ago, installing it now ... if you haven't seen me post for the next 8 hours or so you'll know my copy's working ok ... I know that doesn't make you feel any better though of course

Tried upgrading DirectX and your Video Drivers to see if that gets it working ?

Yep. Upgraded the video drivers, already running the latest Direct X, scanned for virus's, defrag'd, turned all background prog's off, kicked the dog and sulked all night!.

I'm going to change it later, as I think its a bad copy. I tried 'World Builder' and it threw up errors - > missing files.... even though I've un-installed and re-installed a couple of times.

Finally got it working

When I loaded 'Zero Hour' it said it couldn't find 'Generals' so I re-installed it.
Just a guess... but I thought 'wonder if 'Generals' still works - and it didn't.

Then I realised -> the patch (v1.6) uplograded and everything works great

Have to say its an excellant expansion, I've been working my way through the "generals" solo mode its heaps of fun. I love the new GLA Scout motorbikes they're kewl

Any one played theme park inc yet? i had a quick go of it last nite, er ok for most of the nite much better than the old theme park. you can actually ride your rides.

Star Wars Galaxies graced my machine a couple of weeks ago and has been taking way too much of my time... but eh well... what can be done?

I played beta of SWG for a month or so that wasn't too bad.

Haven't bothered with Theme Park Inc, all the reviews I read basically said it was crap

well i just finished it today. its really pretty much the same as the old one. just with updated graphics.
