Problem with receiving mail
I haven't been able to login and recieve email on my service domain and my domains under the service domain. The weird thing is that I can login and check my mail via the webmail interface, but when i try to download my mail in outlook I keep on getting an authorization error.
Anyone else experience this and have thoughts on why this might be? - Daniel |

Don't think thats it... I can't into my accounts on the mail server either right now
![]() In addition, something funky is going on with the mysql server as well. All of my connections are failing right now! |

Ok, our mail seems to download into outlook when we use user@yourdomain.com for the username.....I've never seen this format used for email accounts before....is it something unique to hspere? I suppose I'll need to inform clients of this, right?

Typically that format is used when there are many virtual hosts set up on the same mail server. For instance if both you and I had a mailbox called admin, how would the server know which box to send it to? Thats why the full address is used. |

I cannot send e-mail using mail.mydomain.com, I was able to for a while but not recently. I thought this was one of the really nice things about Matrix, I hope it gets fixed!

Sending mail through your domain is mandatory for most people, such as I.
I do not think that the mail servers are down, so you should be able to send & receive using mail.mydomain.com. Make sure to use username@mydomain.com as your username. |
