wap mail access
Hi
just trying to test the wap mail feature. can someone please confirm how to exactly access the mail using a wap phone. (see below) i have tested: http://atmail.nl/wap.pl the enter username : (is this the full username or full email address) password : (this is ok) domain : (do you include http://, www., or just domain.com) Mailserver: do i have to put anything here (says optional) Protocol : (what do i put here) Login : (ok) Also, having read the help on the webmail help guide, i took it that you replace http://atmail.nl/wap.pl with http://yourdomain/wap.pl then enter your username and password Thanks for any help Steven |

The URL to use is
http://webmail.hsphere.cc/wap.pl Or if you have an alias or cname setup under your own to point to it then you can use http://youralias/wap.pl using user@example.com for my examples you would enter the following Username: user password - yup self explanatory that one domain: example.com mailserver: mail.example.com protocol just leave as the default [POP] |

Use your DNS Manager in your control panel, add either a "CNAME" pointing to webmail.hsphere.cc or an "A" record pointing to 216.157.131.123
I'd use the CNAME personally that way if the IP changes you don't have to worry about changing anything. |

Could someone PLEASE change the link in @mail to read http://webmail.hsphere.cc/wap.pl instead of http://atmail.nl/wap.pl. I have posted this comment about 5 times now and nothing gets done about it. I have clients who are getting confused on why its in there.
I have sent a TT as well. (supose i should have just done that in the first place, doh!) Last edited by Silverbug : 07-31-2003 at 06:46 PM. |

When I try to access it is attempts to download the script. Has someone edited the source? Also... it still references atmail.nl...

If you try and access the file on your reqular webbrowser it will. you need to access it from your cellphone (or wap device) to see the page. (or from a wap emulator http://www.wapsilon.com/)
