SQLServer permissions and EM issues
Hello,
I have concerned about slow speed getting databases on EM, I found in forum that is trouble was corrected by Ms in SP3a and I just intalled. Now, is something quickly retrieving databases, but not at all... Besides, I cannot enforce to my costumers install it, or check it for all... I manage DB on others hosting providers and this task is very efficient due to I get only system DB and the DB that is owned by the login. On matrix servers I get all DB on them. it makes lose time, unnecessary information and some unnecessary traffic... Besides, I can see that the login is not the owner of their DB, why this restriction? As above example of other hosting providers(hostbasket, for example), the login is the owner of their DB. May be these are minor issues, but I think they are in the way of excellence. I hope be usefull. |

Unfortunately thats just the way H-Sphere works dlrmartin and I don't think its going to change any time soon. Vortech can't really go changing too much on the SQLServer without running the risk of it then not working correctly with the H-Sphere scripts. If you think its a big enough of an issue then you might want to try pushing for something to be done about it over at the H-Sphere forums at www.psoft.net
