DNS Issues

I'm having some issues with DNS.

It looks like when the account is created it creates 2 built-in A records.

*.mydomain.com
and
mydomain.com

Both point to the shared IP address the account was created on. I assume the * is a wildcard basically allowing "anything".mydomain.com to hit the webserver. This is not working, not even www.mydomain.com nor mydomain.com resolves.

I then create a custom www record and the www.mydomain.com works but still nothing else hits the server. Not even the root, mydomain.com resolves. What gives?

I try and create a custom mydomain.com entry but of course the entry already exists...

With the built-in A records www.domain.com and domain.com should point to the corresponding web folder.
Other subdomains will point to HSphere default page until you define a subdomain.

Are you sure DNS changes has fully propagated?

Turns out there were some issues with the nameservers and the DNS zone for my domain.

Support has fixed the problem. And very fast I must say!
