Web Service Index Question
Ok. I know this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the answer at the moment... When you're in the CP and editing the Web Service settings for a domain, what's the "indexes" field do again? I have it disabled, but I'm not sure what the effect is. Thanks ahead of time.

From the docs:
"Indexes: The index page is the first page entered on your site. If for any reason it is corrupted or missing, apache can automatically generate a substitute index page. Switch the radio buttons to enable or disable this option." There's also a fancy option. |

Index's from what I understand are listings of files in a directory.
If you disable them and someone goes to a directory, they will get the forbidden or not allowed message. If you have them enabled when someone goes to a directory they will see a list of files in that directory. I do not recommend index's unless your offering files for download. Fancy index's create that fancy directory tree you see on some sites. If oyu have index's on, and dont have a "index.htm" page in each directory, people could grab source code, databases (if their not above your public directory) etc.
