Can't add subdomain on windows
I have ticket open for this (#9481) but it's been over 28 hours and is still not resolved. The support rep who is helping me seems to be seriously missing the point. Please read below for the issue (domain name and output from nslookup have been removed)
---------------------------------------------------- A: Hello, It looks as though it has propagated correctly when checking against a nameserver (ns1.earthlink.net) outside of our network. What problems are you specifically having? (output from nslookup removed) Thank you, Support Team [Sep 29, 2002 2:23:17 PM] Q: DNS for xxxxxx.com currently includes *.xxxxxx.com pointing to the site's IP. The problem is not DNS the problem is that when I attempt to add subdomain pay.xxxxxx.com to my xxxxxx.com service domain I receive the message 'Internal Error, Tech Support Was Notified'. If you need to send this to PSoft, let me know when you send it to them and as soon as you hear back. If not, please let me know as soon as it's been fixed. What is the status of this? I just received ANOTHER reply from support, repeating word for word the incorrect solution I was given before (for the third time now). Is this maybe a bug in the HSphere support module? At any rate, I still don't have an answer. Could you post to this forum as soon as you know something please?

I'm still unable to add this. Getting the same error, and have heard nothing since my last post here. Is this being looked into?

Well over fifty hours now, and I've heard NOTHING more on this. I don't know if it's even been read, or if this is something for PSoft to check on, if it's been sent to PSoft yet. I'd really like to see this answered, but please, fix your DNS servers to return an IP for my service domain first (ticket # 9758)

I've had similar problems in past when trying to add subdomains and domains. I get the same error message. I honestly don't think it actually gets sent to psoft at all. Maybe it goes into some Black hole over there.
In my case, I was told to look at the types of resources I have check for the plan. There wasn't really an explanation for why but when you have certain resources check that h-sphere doesn't quite agree with, it pukes. I had MIVA, and urchin checked, and that apparently doesn't work. The bad thing about this is that you might have to remove your plan and recreate again. I tried modifying and that didn't work at all. I'm not sure if your problem is related to 2.3 or not, so it's really hard to say. Hope this helps though. |

I was able to successfully add the subdomain after the CP went down and then came back up this afternoon. Thanks =)
