OSCommerce Admin not working!
Went to my OSCommerce Admin today and all that is displayed is a blank page. It was working fine on Monday. Any ideas what could be causing this? My site has been live for about a year without any problems..... I need to get this resolved quickly....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.... ![]() |

This was caused by Vortech trying to make a global change to osCommerce sites without notifying people and it going fairly horribly wrong.
You may need to reupload a couple of the files and/or get the security permissions on the files reset if it's running on Unix. I believe the effected files are general.php, html_output.php |

Two Sites - One works the other doesn't
I have a test site (non-SSL) and live site (SSL). The non-ssl is working, not the SSL.
Thanks Brangwyn - I've submitted a trouble ticket, so hopefully I can get this resolved quickly. Thanks for the heads up on possible problem - much appreciated... Both residing on Unix. Last edited by microtecs : 02-04-2005 at 11:15 AM. |

I only have it running on Windows, all of mine appear to be working fine but my ears are still burning :-)

They also did a system wide change to all PHPBB installs both to custom and CP installed. The change was on Dec 24, 2004 to the viewtopic.php and they did it to stop the worm that was running rampant globally with PHPBB installs at that time. |

Yes, I wish they wouldn't do such a thing personally, particularly without letting us know in advance. I know it's well meaning and all but thats not the point.
I also have no idea what the legal implications of modifying data owned by customers without their express permission would be either. |

How did you manage to secure your osc admin panels?
Also, has anyone of you integrated the ikobo payment contribution into his osc store? If yes then how ? Thanks. |

The osc admins protected by default if you install via HSphere isn't it ? if not then just use .htaccess or Webshell to password protect the directory.

Is .htaccess enough to protect our store from hackers?
Does anybody use ikobo's payment contribution ? |

Or Vortec?
Do we have something we can put in our .htaccess to proctect us from Vortec? lol

Yeah guinea pigging other peoples sites seems unprofessional to me, as well. Especially when noone is told before hand.
