I'd be a little mad too if someone said the same thing about me.

Yeah... me too.

No, no, no, no and no!

Don't try to turn things around.

The first post here was about a lack of communication and what did Vixen do? Attack us saying that we were never happy, etc. Things got worse after that because everybody is a little bit tensed right now due to the current situation.

I'm not saying that we should personally attack anybody here, but her post was pretty foolish. It wasn't a simple update about what was going on. She couldn't resist to make some personnal comments.

Lindsey you are 100% right, Vixen calls me about once an hour when we are doing work at the DC so she can update everyone here and keep them updated. She is just trying to let every one know what is going on when a tech can't or I can't my self..

I want to keep you guys updated and this is one of the best was to do that so I don't have to stop working and go and type up some book..

If everyone keeps being rude trust me she will stop and the only update you will get is when we can do it and that might take a little more time then you would like.

That's the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it??

You want to play the victim again?? LoL Too funny. It was YOU that insinuated I have my job only because I am married to Brad. Did that have ANYTHING to do with what you are saying the thread is about?? NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. So, if you want to throw stones about getting off topic then look in the mirror because you made it personal.

You are exactly right. At this point, I may never make another post to update anyone about anything. I think what everyone fails to realize is IT'S NOT MY JOB. I do this to try and help. And what do I get for it?? Attacked, harrassed, cussed and whatever else. It's not worth it and it's not appreciated, so why bother.

I believe her first post was this "There was an update posted last night AND an email announcement sent out saying the firewalls would be installed today from 11am - 1pm ET. However, the techs decided the to install them after 5pm ET in an effort to appease all of you. As I can see, that effort did not work either and you are going to complain regardless." And she was absolutely right. People are always going to complain regardless. Her post was informational and updating. She told you what she knew.

Re-read that thread again. Vixen. I've never mentioned that you were the wife. This was posted in a separate thread much later and as a small joke (with a smiley) to someone who wasn't aware of the situation.

And now re-read your answer to the thread starter :

The bold part is what I'm talking about.

It's true, someone is ALWAYS going to complain. I didn't call you a name, did I?? I didn't insinuate anything about you. All I did was state a fact. A truth. Would you rather I lie to you??

I didn't take it as a joke and everyone who has read it has taken it the exact same way I did. You insinuated I would not have my job if I was not married to Brad. It was not called for nor did it have ANYTHING to do with anything at all. It was an off-handed way of putting me down and/or putting me in my place. It didn't work. Better luck next time.

Sitting here wondering how this entire thread serves to support Vortech customers or communicate the support status of the network... seeing none... I vote for the removal of the entire thread.

What happened to the collegial we are all in it together feeling I used to get when coming to the forum? Apologies to all for taking up so much space.

To Brad the Owner and trusted Vixen the administrator, forgive me if I sound preachy, I am just one beggar trying to share something I have been taught through 25 years of owniing my own small business. I hope you will listen and hear the cheeing of the associates, even those that voice our concerns. We want you to continue to succeed and lead well. Consider:

1. Selfless, caring, competent leaders throughout history suffered unjust and cruel critisism. Washington, Lincoln, Moses, Jesus, the list could go on forerver. All had times of despair when feeling unjustly attacked. It is not fair, but it does come with the territory. Like it or not, your reseller community depends on your leadership.

2. Followers crave communications from leaders, especially during scary and uncertain times. They want to know every move the leader is making. They want to be reassured. They want to know the leader is control. If he/she says that the sun will rise tomorrow at 7:03 am, they will check to see if this is correct and are reassured when it does. If it rises at 7:08, you can say no harm done, but the confidence is shaken some.

3. You have set very high standards of communications. We have come to respect, value, expect and need your pleasent, non defensive, understanding, reassuring communications.

4. A leader has to choose their spokesperson carefully. During crisis the leader cannot always provide "play by play" for the associates. Spokes people need to be in the loop and know how to communicate to the associates to provide reassurance and calm during the heat of the battle. Unjust critisism needs to be laid aside to consider after the storm is over.

5. We are all counting on y'all to continue to provide the leadership that has made this a haven for resellers who have been abandoned and ignored by so many other hosters.

Peace and encouragement.

I would like to know the answer to that one myself. You are quite well spoken and seemingly logical, every person here would do well to listen to what you are saying. I hate the bickering here, from all sides.
