Primary Server Hostname: ns.hsphere.cc
Primary Netaddress: 65.57.231.100 Secondary Server Hostname: ns1.hsphere.cc Secondary Netaddress: 65.57.231.120 Does anyone know what to do with Name Servers. I want to have my main account as NetEgypt.NET so can i creat my own ns1.NetEgypt.NET AND ns.NetEgypt.NET But if I do so, what is the "Server IP Address"? And now, do my clients set their dns on HSPHERE or on NETEGYPT?!!!! |

Have you set your nameserver aliases in your HSphere admin control panel?
If not, first log into your admin panel, go to E. Manager / Server Aliases - then make sure you complete this page - you have to submit all the nameserver and web/mailservers so that your domain will alias the hsphere DNS - the nameservers ns.yourdomain.com, ns1.yourdomain.com, ns2.yourdomain.com, ns3.yourdomain.com will automatically take on the IP addresses listed. Then you register those 4 nameservers with your registrar - this can take several days depending on your registrar. Then and only then can your customer signups get your custom nameservers to use. As you sign up users, you use the nameservers listed in the welcome email. |

bobi, it sounds like you just didn't register the nameserver with your registrar first. If you're using eNom, click on "Register DNS" and complete the form for each nameserver.

You need to make the name servers fist before you add them to your domain. You also do this with the registra, you would point ns.yourdomain.com to 65.57.231.100 and ns1.yourdomain.com to 65.57.231.120 and so on. There should be an option called creat name servers or something like that. They are all different..

Have you spoken to OPENSRS about it ? at a quick glance at the NS records for netegypt.net they look ok to me.
I fail to see why opensrs would reject ns2.netegypt.net & ns3.netegypt.net when you already have them assigned as the primary and secondary nameservers (which implies they're registered as well) for the netegypt.net domain. |
