I hate to talk about this issue many times. But I have received more and more customers complained about the email problems. One talked to me with angry that his emails from Oct. 25 to Nov. 3 were disappeared without any notice and asked me to recovered it. He also complained that he did not receive some email from his clients and some time his email can not received by his clients.
Vortech is doing a good job in the hosting business. But I am so disappoint at their email service. |

is it that he isn't getting email that he knows is being sent to him, or is he filtering it out by mistake?
There is no more 'filtering to delete' going on here anymore, so there may be other circumstances as to why the email isn't getting to him. Perhaps those sending it are part of the problem? |

This customer called me again that all his emails in the mail box were deleted again. Is there any body has this experience?

I have clients to that have complained that important emails are not getting to them.
Do we have any ideas as to what is happening? One client said it seems to be some aol users that have most problems getting email to her.

Thanks Vixen, I am waiting to hear back if it is an AOL 9.0 user, I have also requested they send me a fax with the error printed out so I can get something more than the vague it doesn't really work.

The last day or so I've been noticing quite a few emails being delayed (6-8 hours for a few) and a couple of customers have said they've not received my replies at all also. imho theres definately been some mail server issues here the last couple of days just based on what I've experienced.

No backed up queues... All mail servers have the normal amount of messages in the queue... Dont know what to tell you, are you sure its being delayed by us?

Yeah pretty sure Matt. One of the mails in question was actually notification of a PM from the forum here which I'd already read and answered about 5 hours before I got the email notification.

Without any information I can't do much for you guys. Send me a ticket with specific info. the from address, the to address, the time sent, the time arrived, etc. And I can check the mail logs and possibly see why/if it got deferred.

hmmm.
Valid point Brangwyn. Seems to be an issue with mail and dns. We think we've fixed it. No mail lost of course, just deferred (obviously). |
