you guys are making me feel so old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was seven:
TV was black and white, and the closest thing we had to a computer was nothing. No calculators, my dad used an adding machine, my brother used a slide rule, I used something called a number 2 lead pencil. We did have a lot of fun stringing soup cans around houses and talking to each other, playing real live baseball and football with all the neighborhood kids, making gocarts and scaring our parents to death, and exploring the forests that are now all MD-DC suburbs like we were Davy Crocket. The girls read Nancy Drew(the book not the pc game or tv show) and the boys Hardy Boys(the book not the tv show). We also hid under the covers at night and listened to the Washington Senators play baseball on our transistor radios. Microwaves and fast food places didn't exist and we thought plastic saran wrap was a miracle compared to wax paper! Actually life was pretty cool. My folks gave me a baseball bat when I made my First communion and I was in 7th heaven. Yes, I was a tomboy. So much for nostalgia, today I love my computers and gadgets and always get the latest thing.

I wish I had the Bowmar calculator I took to college. The first one made, I think. Got it for graduation in ..... '69

I sold Apple //s and owned one too but the first PC I sold was an Apple ///

Traded my Apple // in for Apple //e Serial # 2000. It resides in the attic. I actually play with it once a year or so.

Had a Mac 512, Mac Plus with a 10mb HD, Mac SE then moved into the Intel world.

three years ago I picked up a C64 with Original Monitor, Printer and Cassette all in original boxes. also came with a box of tape software. I swear I'm gonna fire it up someday.

Anybody else collect this stuff? I know you're all babies but antiques are always good.

According my better half I horde the stuff rather than collect it .. recently parted with a few special artifacts like an original 8088 IBM PC (One of the first few imported into NZ at an original cost of $18,000 each or so), had an Apple Lisa and an Apricot PC at one stage as well, pretty much now just got a couple of Amigas and a C64 left.

I don't know, my great nephew tells me I'm old old old old. He usually tells me this when he can't open the pickle jar and I do it for him. He tells me I'm pretty strong for an old old old person that has been in so many car accidents. It is hard to keep a straight face when this happens as he is totally serious. Of course according to him and his wise 11 years, old is 31.
