Streaming Real Audio

If V-tech does not support streaming RealAudio, what do folks use to meet this need? Are any of you going elsewhere for that portion of your hosting? Is there some other kind of solution without giving up Vortech all together?

You know that you can do HTTP streaming in RA here, right?

Thanks, that's a great help. My only experience has been with RA servers so I didn't know there was a way around it for low volume sites.

Most media files will stream when directly called

i.e. hxxp://www.bigdaveisthebesttech.com/dave.mpg

On most systems this will either start to play in IE or start WMP and buffer then start play while it downloads

i also wasn't aware that hxxp: converts directly to http: in your browser.. i thought it wasn't going to work as a link (aside from a 404 reason).

what is hxxp?

As Dave says RealMedia and other files can be streamed via HTTP, theres an FAQ On their site about it somewhere I think.
