Basic access question?

Hi all,

Just wanted to know where do I store my Access database to make sure it is secure and can not be downloaded or hacked by unauthorized people..

Thanks.

Store it below the web root, IE, the domain name is gofarter.com, make a folder BELOW the one called gofarter.com and call it DB or something, then put the DB in there and make a DSN or an absolute path in ASP to call it up.

I did exactly that, but when trying to upload the database to the DB directory, I got the error, saying

"CuteFTP can not open the directory, make sure you have proper permissions" ....????

Any Ideas ...!!!

Don't you mean "above" the webroot ? ..semantics I guess, you say below, I say above

Your directory structure should be something like this
Code:
<AccountName> <DomainName>
Create another directory at the same level as <DomainName> (the root web) and place your database in there. e.g.
Code:
<AccountName> <Databases> <DomainName>
