Domains from another source?

Hello!

I am new to all of this and have a question I hope someone will answer.

Question: We register domains via another party for our customers and I am having a hard time figuring out how to sign them on the system?

Can you help me?

After you've registered the domain via your own registrar the domain is then simply added via the customers control panel using the "add domain" option under "domains"

If you need to use a domain that is already registered you just put it in the "transfer domain" section of the add domain window, that doesn't actually transfer it to Vortech or anything, that is just where you enter the domain for the hsphere system to set it up for hosting.

I must be doing something wrong. Do I need to set something up when I am creating my plans? Right now I do not have any boxes checked that have to do with domains.

The service plan is set up and I need to add new domains under that control panel, but there is no option for that when I try to add a domain.

Did I miss something?

In the plan for your service domain, make sure you have all the Include boxes ticked for the various domain options that you need e.g.

Domain Include
SubDomain Include
Stopgap Domain Include
Parked domain Include
Domain alias Include
Third level domain Include
Service Domain Include <-- this one should already be ticked in your service domain plan

when you are setting up regular plans and you want to allow people to transfer domains registered elsewhere you will need to check Domains under Domain Types.

If you do NOT want them to register domains through your Matrix account do not check Domain registration.
