Status page on your site code

Seeing as i have been asked for the code so often...

Would ppl pay for the code to that displayed votech's server status on their website? see (http://www.sniper.co.nz/serverstatus.asp?mode=1)

Silverbug, I like the script an idea but if this script pings the server and does every thing ours already does it would be better to pull the info from our page.. If every one was to install this it just means more bandwidth and more time for the server to take in all these pings and ssh checks..


If you can make it do the same thing pulling from our status page it would be better for us and you..

It does pull the info from the status.vortechhosting.com:8080 page.

It uses XMLHTTP to grab the page and then strips all the info out of the page and alows you to format it how you like. Is this what you mean?

Yea, ok then that is cool.. Did not want all the resellers pinging the servers.. hehe That would be bad..

Silverbug, any way to do this in PHP that way it could work on all systems.. Just an idea..

i guess i could try porting the code, havent had much exp with php tho. will look into doing it later on today.

Brad...Can you give us the code that your using at the bottom of the forums page?

resell, it is a mod for VB I believe, it is very VERY simple, not as good as pulling the status from the IPMon

It's very easy to write PHP or ASP to deal with XML files sandgnat, theres a ton of examples on the net already.
