Are support emails getting through?

At least four of my sites are completely down right now, throwing "MSSQL not available" and "RPC Server not available" errors, and it two cases are completely unreachable. I sent a TT via email but have gotten no confirmation. Are support tickets getting through right now or getting held up due to the CP problems? Please let me know ASAP. I have a client trying to give a presentation of his site at a board meeting right now and it is throwing errors all over the place.

I have traced the problem to MSSQL: all of my sites on MSSQL1 are working just fine. Anything calling MSSQL is exploding all over the place. Script timeout errors, SQL server not found errors, RPC server not available. Is anybody from Matrix reading this? I know you guys have a lot of issues going on right now but I have not gotten an auto-reply from my support ticket and my sites have been down for at least 1.5 hours. Please acknowledge.

EDIT: Upon further examination the static pages on my inaccessible sites are available, further proof that MSSQL is flipping out. Unfortunately the homepages and 90% of the other pages are dynamically generated from MSSQL.

I also have/had the same problem with an Access-based site. I think it may be .asp? NT5

just to let you know, the emails are being checked and answers ASAP, but not through the ticket system as usual, it is going direct email, so it may be harder for us to manage, but they will be checked out.

I posted all the domains in my TT but here are some more:

http://friendsofthemarket.org/

http://saintpaulfoundation.org

http://mncommunityfoundation.org

And here is a completely STATIC page on one of the domains that does not hit MSSQL:

http://friendsofthemarket.org/about/

It loads just fine. Please help if you can. I am quickly approaching 3 hours of downtime. (Still no response from my TTs). Thanks.

EDIT: This is what they are currently throwing, although sometimes it just hangs and hangs until I get a script timeout error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

Help! Is anybody looking into this? Still no reply to the TTs and still no websites. Not trying to be a pain but it is pushing 5 hours and I'm worried this is going to drag on into the weekend.

Take a read of my comments in this post, same problem thats how I fixed it, I believe DNS may not be setup correctly on NT5.

Brangwyn: you ROCK. I wish somebody could have told me this 5 hours ago, when my client was sitting in front his board of directors with the site up on an 8x10 video screen. Grrrrrrr. It seems that stuff like this happens at the worst possible time. All is well for now, even though it is a hack and a pain in the ass to have to change all of these manually. Thanks again Brangwyn. Much appreciated.

Also, for the record, at least two of those sites were on NT8 and not NT5. So it apparently is not unique to NT5.

Your welcome

I'd have fixed/posted the fix earlier cept I was having a lazy day in bed today ... (well I'll tell the truth, it was intentional to avoid having a nasty hangover) and only just started looking into the problems a wee while ago.

I just had to do the same to a customer site on NT8 also so thats 2 servers which I suspect either don't have both nameservers defined on the NIC's or have something else screwy in their DNS settings.
