Two Questions

Before openning a CPanel Reseller account could someone answer these please.

1. Does the CPanel Reseller come with one main IP address? (I know it does not support dedicated IPs for the customers)

2. I see in the purchase page it says FreeBSD or Redhat, is this an option I can select or is it pot luck?

3. Does the CPanel come with namedservers in the same way as H-Sphere does? i.e. your own domained named servers.

Oops make that Three

Many Thanks

Dave

No, no dedicated IP' are given on CPanel plans.

Most likely will be RedHat as it seems more stable with CPanel 6.

Yes, you must request this via a support ticket rather than do it yourself like in H_Sphere.

I'm an H-Sphere user, but out of curiousity, does this mean that you cannot support true SSL for client sites on the CPanel plans? This requires a dedicated IP as far as I know.

SSL without dedicated IP?

I've been looking into cpanel but I couldn't find an answer to the question above - can you get an SSL cert on cpanel

We will make an exception for an SSL cert.
