Thanks.
I'm logged in as a user and it's too slow to do anything.

It wouldn't be totally surprising for me that some features are actually now going to be slower than before, with the database now being network connected rather than on the same machine.

1Gbit connection... Its strictly for the CP and DB, we tested the link... they kinda hit the speed limit with the speed of disk writes...

CPPGSQL is rebooting to install new kernel, will be up in a sec. Includes tweaks.

Once again, Matrix trying to make things better for us resellers!

I just want to say that I think you guys do a great job for us overall and I like all the changes / updates you have made over the past couple of months.

You have made something that was "good" "better"...

I think moving CP to its own server and the DB that supports to another is better than we could expect! 1GB connection between the two is more than just about any disk array can handle!

Hats off and thanks again!

From:
A very satisfied customer of Matrix and a reseller that has very little customer complaints!

Psoft is once again in the system seeing if they can find anything else to tweak as they have more experience in managing PGSQL and know what the HSphere DB requires... We'll keep you informed.

Any comments about the speed now? Seems to be OK.. but we did just restart... Hopefully it will be good for a bit.

32 or 64bit NIC's though ? 32bit NIC's can barely cope with gigabit (though they are still a damm site better than 100Mb, but can bottle neck the PCI bus)
